Why LegalSky?
LegalSky enforces your rights as provided by the European regulation on flight cancellations, excessive delays, missed connections and denied boarding. LegalSky has access to various databases on air transport, fleet management, weather conditions and other circumstances relevant to the case, as well as detailed information on the relevant European and national legislation.
Indemnification
In case of entitlement to compensation, what is the amount I am entitled to? For all flights of 1,500 km or less the compensation will be 250 ¤; for flights within the EU of more than 1,500 km it will be 400 ¤; for non-EU flights of between 1,500 and 3,500 km it will be 400 ¤; and finally for flights within the EU of more than 3,500 km if the delay is between 3 and 4 hours the compensation will be 300 ¤, while if it is more than 4 hours or never arrived the amount rises to 600 ¤.

The European law relating to air passenger rights is known as Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 February 2004. From now on we will refer to it as EC 261, and we will focus on in compensation to passengers in cases of delayed flights. Whenever you arrive at a final destination more than 3 hours late, you can claim compensation. It doesn’t matter if it is due to delay, cancellation or the loss of a connecting flight. If you complete the 3 hours you are entitled to monetary compensation. *Other passenger rights due to flight delays in the EU: – Right to a refund or alternative flight: in addition to the compensation established by CE 261, if your delay is more than 5 hours. – Right to assistance: refers to meals and refreshments during the delay. – If your flight departs the day after the scheduled one, you have the right to a hotel. – If the plane offers you an alternative flight and places you in a higher class than you will not be able to charge any additional payment for it.

The handling time varies greatly from case to case. Here the circumstances of the incident, the legal situation, the cooperation and good faith of the airline come into play.
